The return of the activity period next semester should see an increase in the number of students participating in intramural sports.
According to coach Wayne Williams’ plans are in the making for a swim meet in March, and the tennis and golf teams will begin workouts as soon as the winter weather wears off.
Basketball league play will begin soon after the spring semester begins, with the possibility of intramural softball, if time permits.
Table tennis teams will be organized, and a table tennis tournament is expected to be organized early in the spring semester.
On the intramural sports scene, TC will field another baseball team in the spring. The Bulldogs will play other schools in the Texas Eastern Athletic Conference on a home to home basis. The team will also participate in an invitational game late in the spring.
The tennis and golf teams will play teams from some of the other schools in TEA Conference. The teams usually play in a conference meet at Kilgore each year toward mid-spring.
