The Red Rangers downed the Green Officials this week by a score of 72-61. The Rangers were led by David Hamilton with 19 points. Also in the double figures for the Rangers were J. Boze, K. Kirkland, and K. Storey with 17, 15, and 12 points respectively.
The Green Officials were led by T. Allred with 27 points followed by Coach Williams with 20.
In further basketball action the Old Pros defeated the Globe-Walkers by a score of 64-63. It was a real thriller. Leading the Old Pros was T. Walker with 22 points followed by S. Easter with 11. Leading the Globe-Walkers was R. Smith with 24, followed by B. Boyd with 19, and S. Tine with 14. The Old Pros won 64-63.
Roundball action continues. Several teams began their quest for the basketball championship over the past weeks. Hooks Gwen Green was taken in by the Red Unknowns by a score of 76-42. The Unknowns, led by Glen Biddle, Walton Gamble, and Freddie Gamble scored 17-16. Hooks was led by Dink Waldon and Jimmy Skinner, each with 10 points.
On Roundball action with the Texas Exes going against the Old Pros, the Texas Exes won the game by a margin of 47-35. Leading Texas was Foard Jones with 14 points. High man for the Old Pros was Moceo Griffith with 18 points. The Texas Exes praised Jones for his outstanding performance. The Old Pros gave credit to the hard hustling George Washington for his effort even in defeat.
