Mrs. Betty Carter, who after sixteen years of teaching English at Texarkana College resigned to devote her time to writing, spoke on Modern Literature at the Texarkana College Faculty Wives Association meeting last Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Errol R. Hatfield, No. 6 Palm Drive. Eleven members attended.
Mrs. Carter gave her ideas about modern-day writers with whom one can become involved. She explained her findings with reference to existentialism and compared the similarities between existentialism and Christianity.
