Mrs. Michael Mankins, mathematics instructor, announced to the K-Ettes and the Circle K that Texarkana’s BIT recycling center needs volunteers to take items to be recycled from the two substations to the main center.
The center is located on State Line Avenue across from the State Line Cemetery. The Texas-side substation is located in Oaklawn Village in the Sears parking lot. The Arkansas station is located in the College Hill shopping center.
Mrs. Mankins said that if anyone could pick up and deliver just once a month, it would be deeply appreciated.
She said that this is an opportunity for those who want to do their share in keeping Texarkana beautiful.
