Three different plans have been submitted to the TCC Building Committee by the architect firm of Myrick, Newman, and Dahlberg concerning the landscaping of the TCC campus.
According to Dr. Nelson, the firms surveyed selected people to ascertain what they thought the needs, goals and objectives of the campus were. The Board of Trustees will vote on the proposed plans at their regularly scheduled meeting at the end of this month.
The first drawing of the Cluster Concept consists of closing off Coolidge Street and replacing the parking on the external edge of the campus.
The second drawing or the Spine Concept consists of making Coolidge Street a cul-de-sac from both directions. The third concept is in triangular form of both. Each drawing has a lake, bogainia, amphitheater and several seating areas and an outdoor water fountains in both drawings.
The total idea behind the landscaping project is to make the TCC campus both decorative and functional.
