Football? At Texarkana College? It may not be your everyday football game at TCC on Dec. 1, but it will be the only football game here . . . our “Homecoming.” The Student Senate has made plans for a flag football game between Arkansas and Texas students of TCC. The game will be played during activity period (11:10 a.m.) and will consist of two 20 minute halves. Players may sign up in Dean Hughes office.
The first 25 players to sign up for each team will be eligible to play. Cheerleaders for each team can also sign up. The first eight to sign up for each team will be the cheerleaders. The game will be played in the open field behind the Language Arts building. Refreshments and sandwiches will be furnished by the Student Senate for everyone until it runs out. The team members will be responsible for securing a team captain by voting. Each team is also responsible for getting a coach for their team and setting up practice sessions and drawing up plays.
The Student Senate invites all TCC students to attend this event to find out who really has the best team.
