Cliff Carter and Denise Smith finished third in their respective age groups at the Gold Star Classic marathon held November 8 at Red River Army Depot. This gave both the first place spot in the TCC tentathlon Marathon. Also participating from TCC were Juan Orta and Chris Prewitt, who placed second and third respectively in the TCC marathon.
TCC Mathematics Professor Leon Rauch also ran and finished ninth in his age category with a time of 35:24. TCC Instructor Delbert Dowdy had originally planned to run but was called out of town before the race.
