Cast For Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’ Announced By Director Parsons

The cast for Ibsen’s “A Doll House,” the spring production of the drama department, was announced last week by Mrs. Mildred Parsons, director of the play.

The play is centered around Nora Helmer, to be played by Lori Lyndon, a young girl who is constantly harassed by the villainous Nils Krogstad, to be portrayed by Bruce Singleton. Torvald, Nora’s husband, will be played by Bob Stephens.

Tommy Ables will play Dr. Rank, a life-long friend of the Helmers. Mrs. Linde, a friend of Nora’s, is played by Kathy Merchant. Annie-Marie, the nursemaid for Nora and Torvald’s three children will be played by Linda Strickland. Treese Allen will portray Helene, the maid at the Helmer’s house.

“This play is a most challenging undertaking,” said Mrs. Parsons, director.

Rehearsal for the play will begin one week before spring registration and will continue until the first of its three night performances on March 1 in the TC auditorium.

Student director for the play, Sara Coble, said that she was delighted to get the experience of working with this serious drama. The job of stage manager will be filled by Walton Gamble, and William Hooper will assist in stage-crew work.
