FALL PRODUCTION — THE GLASS MENAGERIE — NEXT WEEK

TC PLAY DEC. 3, 4, and 5. — Laura (portrayed by sophomore Jo Gallagher) is the overprotected daughter in “The Glass Menagerie.” She is a very sensitive girl due to a lame foot, yet she manages to hold the troubled family together. Her tiny collection of glass animals which she now admires is an all important factor in her life. Only 150 tickets per night will be sold for the performances next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights.

POSSESSIVE MOTHER — Amanda Wingfield (freshman Beth Jacob), the possessive mother, and Laura’s gentleman caller, Jim (freshman James Harris), drink a toast to the “Old South.” Laura’s brother, Tom Wingfield (sophomore George Davis), falls into one of his introverted, frustrated moods completely ignoring his mother. This touching story of “The Glass Menagerie” will be told by the TC drama department next week in a three-quarter round production using only four characters. Tickets will be on sale in the Student Center one week before the play opens. Adult tickets will be sold for $1.25; college students with ID cards may purchase tickets for 75¢.
