Harold Abney Heads New Campus Club, Black Heritage

Eighty-nine members of the Black Heritage Club met to elect officers and write the club’s constitution.

Harold Abney was elected president; Charles English, vice-president; Christal Smith, secretary; Cynthia Brown, treasurer; Bruce Sharp, parliamentarian; and Jessie Keaton, sergeant-at-arms.

The purpose of the club is to give service to the community, to establish awareness, to increase the knowledge of black history, to bring about better understanding of the black man today and his contributions to society.
