Leon Jaworski, chief special investigator of the Watergate scandal, and more recently chief investigator of Koreagate, spoke at the TCC auditorium yesterday.
Jaworski is best known for his leading role in Watergate, where his investigations eventually led to the resignation of former president Richard Nixon. He also authored “The Right and the Power”, a book about the scandal that made the best seller list.
Jaworski currently serves as the general legal counsel to the Texas State Senate, as well as serving as special counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Standards of Official Conduct. More Recently, Mr. Jaworski has been pressed into service as chief investigator of the “Koreagate” scandals, the investigation involving allegations of influence buying by the Korean businessman, Tongson Park, of numerous members of the U.S. Congress.
