“The Texarkana Community College stage band and TC Singers will present a concert in the college auditorium on November 22 at 7:30 p.m .,” says Murry Alewine, music instructor at the college. “The concert will consist of a mixture of vocal jazz, rock, and choral popular music,” said Alewine, “and solos will be presented by Portland Coleman, Charles Grizzard, and Jim Beaty.”
Alewine mentioned that proceeds from the concert will be used to help finance a tour to Montreal, Canada by these two musical groups next spring. Everyone is invited to attend and the admission charge is one dollar per person. For further information call 838-4541, extensions 257 or 371.
