“My Generation” will provide the music tomorrow night from eight to twelve at the TC Snow Ball.
Unable to play due to a prior commitment, Joe Stampley of the Uniques recommended “My Generation” from Natchez, Miss., for the Snow Ball. Joe said, “‘My Generation’ has been asked back every place they’ve played.”
A decoration committee headed by Patty Dougan plans to follow the annual theme with a life-size snowman.
The Snow Ball will be formal. Nominees for class favorites were taken at freshman and sophomore class meetings Tuesday. Elections were held Thursday. The two freshman girls and two freshman boys receiving the most votes will be announced as freshman favorites at the dance. The two sophomore girls and two sophomore boys receiving the second and third highest number of votes will be announced as sophomore favorites at the dance. Dean Hughes will be in charge of the presentations.
Sophomore girls nominated were Mona Wright, La Honda Ellis, Carole Kelly, Debby Curry, Pat Jackson, Cyndi Pound, Darlene Haywood, Becky Granberry, and Christy Johnson.
Sophomore boys nominated were Dwight Bowlin, Walker Gamble, Harold Abney, Randy Barnes, Joe Birdwell, Bill Whitecotten, Floyd Smith, Terry Brown, Jack Elrod and Jim Graves.
Freshman girls nominated were Patty Dougan, Debbie Cervini, Sheila Rodgers, Linda Harris, Sandy Allen, Susie Shields, Cindy Wreyford, Janie Flatt, Linda Whatley, Kathy Heath, Sherry Dorsey, Anita Rankin, Phyllis Hodgson, Mary Thomas, Sherry Engledowl, Betty Pickett, Cunnye Walker, Susan Stone and Debra Brown.
Freshman boys nominated were Mike Morris, Martin Mahan, Mike Taylor, Terry Fry, Mike Hickerson, Jack Allensworth, Robert Sedgrass, James Nall, Jim Webster, Ronnie Brown, Joey Mullins, Dwayne Peace, Randy Guillot, John Couch, Paul Matthews, Bruce Sharp, Charles English, Roy Moore, Robert Robinson and Jobe Dillard.
