UFO SIGHTINGS REPORTED ALL OVER THE WORLD
When a plane landed at Texarkana Municipal Airport recently, no little green men disembarked, but UFO expert Major Donald Keyhoe did. He spoke to a crowd of several hundred students, faculty, and townspeople on Nov. 15.
Major Keyhoe said that UFO’s have been sighted by such people as armed forces pilots, commercial airline pilots, and astronauts. He said that many sightings go unreported because of the Espionage Act, which is a secrecy order set up by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. According to this order, and pilot that reports a UFO sighting to the public faces a $10,000 fine, a five-year prison term, or both. The reason for this secrecy, Major Keyhoe said, is that the government is afraid the public is not, and never will be, prepared for these UFO’s.
Two general types of UFO’s that have been sighted are the disc-shaped and the cigar shaped. Keyhoe said that the largest UFO reported was 400 feet in diameter and the smaller types are 50 to 100 feet in diameter.
“If we could match the speeds and size of UFO’s, we would be in no danger of attack from other countries,” Major Keyhoe claimed.
According to reports, the UFO’s have a way of overcoming gravity, can turn right angles without slowing down, and can be “heard” by waves that penetrate the brain.
Major Keyhoe thinks that to prepare for a UFO landing, we must “forget the silly reports” and the Air Force denials. An isolated base could be set up and the major believes that the aliens would be curious enough to investigate. This way, he says, we will be able to meet and communicate with them.
