Psychology Classes Hear Professionals In Lecture Series

Texarkana College will host the second in a series of speakers for classes. Denson’s psychology classes.

Dr. Luther R. White, full-time psychiatrist a t Texarkana Mental Health Center, will discuss the topic of problems in a college career on the evening of Wednesday, November 12 in an evening psychology class. This class will be open to the public and will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Room 6 of the classroom building.

The first of these speakers was Anita Wu, R.N.M.S., psychiatric social worker at the Texarkana Mental Health – Mental Retardation Center, who spoke Nov. 12 on the topic “The Role of Play in the Development of Children.”

Other speakers this year will include Mike Schroeder, psychiatric social worker for the Texarkana Mental Health-Mental Retardation Complex-Texarkana College. Class next Tuesday. He will address the class on the 10:30 a.m.

On the following Wednesday, Jerry Glen, chief psychologist at the Mental Health center, will address the 8 a.m. class meeting in T-2 of the Agriculture Building.

The same day Dr. Ralph Hall, of the First Baptist Church will be discussing the relation of healthy religious personality with the Personal adjustment psychology class.
