RECORD REVIEW: STEVE MILLER’S ‘BOOK OF DREAMS’

This being our last paper of the semester, I thought that I would review one of my favorite albums from the past. Steve Miller’s “Book of Dreams”. This album was released in 1978 and included many hits. “Jet Airliner”, “Jungle Love”, “Swingtown”, “The Stake”, and “Winter Time”. All of these are very good. The vocals and instrumentations are the state-of-the-art in a studio set.

Miller is one of the best groups that have become prominent in the ’70’s. Their music is played on almost all contemporary format stations. Top forty and AOR are the main ones that play Miller.

If this album is not in your current collection, and you like good rock sounds this would make a perfect present to yourself.

Don’t forget that “Areosmith” is in concert in Shreveport tomorrow night. You will be able to get tickets at the door, but I suggest you get there early so you will be sure to get them.

Well, this is our last paper of the semester, and I have enjoyed reviewing the albums for you. Next semester I hope that I will be able to give you a more varied selection of music. If you have any suggestions, give me a call at the paper office.
