Ross Perot, Dallas multimillionaire and TC alumnus, whose Nov. 18 Texarkana College speech was postponed due to bad weather and poor flying conditions, will return Tuesday, Dec. 9, during activity period to speak in the college auditorium to the TC student body.
“Here is a young man who has amassed a great fortune,” said Mrs. Lois Duck, TC English teacher and former instructor of Perot. “More importantly, he is interested in young people and understands their problems.”
Perot did get to Texarkana in time to speak to the afternoon session of the journalism and leadership forum.
Continuing her remarks on former student Perot, Mrs. Duck stated, “He’s interested in the problems of our country, and has the money to do something about it. He has a message,” concluded Mrs. Duck, “that all TC students cannot afford to miss.”
