Levi H. Hall, dean of instruction, has announced the schedule for this term’s final exam. In making the announcement, he cautioned students not to wait until the last minute to begin study.
“As a college student myself, I know there was a tendency to wait until the last minute and stay up the night before an exam to study. That is definitely not the way to study for any exam! Some final exams may be comprehensive, or instructors also like to give unit or chapter tests. Whatever the form, you should begin your study early,” he said.
Usually students receive from their instructors guidance on exams and what the grading method for that course will be. Students are given this information as early as the first day of school.
“Final exams are just part of your overall grade for a course. It is used as a measuring tool,” Hall said. “It does not reflect a student’s entire knowledge of the course.”
The exams will be held on December 15 – 16 – 17 – 18.
