Snowball Dance

The 1977 Snowball Dance will be held Saturday night in the Texarkana College Student Center. The dance is free to all TCC and ETSUT students and their dates. ID required. Entertainment for the dance, which is sponsored by the Student Senate, will be provided by Jaywalk, a popular disco band from Little Rock, Ark.

Who’s Who

Twenty-five Texarkana Community College students have been selected for Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. The students were selected from 700 institutions of higher learning as the most outstanding campus leaders. They were selected on the basis of academic achievement, service to their communities, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential. Students selected include Barry Dewayne Abney, Cynthia Beaty, Deborah Minns Blazek, Diane Kathryn Bowen, Beverly Joye Gentry, Regina Elisabeth Green, Kathy Joy Hicks, Roger Goedecke, Gayneil Herman Hines Jr., Belinda Gail Matlock, Diane Elizabeth Scholong, Paula Lynn Smith, and Elaine Wilson, all Texarkans, Tex. Also included were Charles Steelman, Darlene Usery, Ann Williams, Denise Beasley, for Bacnen, David Newson, and Kenneth Sandoval.

Movie Set

The showing of the movie, “Changed,” will be on December 5 at 7 p.m., in the TCC Student Center Rooms 211. The movie is produced by Bud Morgan for the Way International. It is about how the word of God taught accurately has changed people’s lives. There will be no admission charge for this showing.

Concert

The TCC Choir, directed by Dr. Murray Alewine, will participate in a community effort concert which will be given at the First Baptist Church on Pine Street on December 5. James Herren, a pianist, will accompany the college group. Also appearing at the concert will be choir members from area churches and high schools. Members of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras will accompany the choir. The performance will consist of the traditional Christmas music.
