Take The Christ Out Of Christmas

Christmas — a time for families, friends, cold weather and warm feelings. Many people say that there should be more, but should there really?

It is believed by many that the actual birth of Christ was in the summer months, not in December. The December holiday was a pagan holiday in the beginning. A Christian significance was not added until hundreds of years later.

Those who celebrate the birth of Christ should celebrate it every day of the year instead of designating a single day to commemorate it. After all, the sacrifice that He made helps those who accept Him every day of the year!

So enjoy the Christmas season. Visit family and friends, and let the warm feelings of the time penetrate and radiate. Celebrate the time fully. But don’t restrict your celebration of the birth of Christ to one day or one season of the year.
