Five TC physical education instructors left early yesterday morning to attend the annual Texas Association of Health and Physical Education and Recreation Convention in Dallas. The meeting will be in the Fairmont Hotel and will last three days.
Those attending from Texarkana College are Henry Duke, Hub Dungan, Norma Nelson, Wayne Williams, and Sue Works. These instructors will attend various lectures and meetings in which the latest coaching techniques will be discussed and the newest equipment demonstrated.
“We hope to bring back new and fresh ideas to add to our program at Texarkana College,” Coach Duke said. “The physical education staff at TC tries to attend this conference every year, and we usually pick up some ideas,” he continued.
