Texarkana College was reinstated as parliamentarian at the regional convention of the Texas Junior College Student Government Association held at Cedar Valley Junior College near Dallas, Saturday, November 10. This reinstatement occurred when the matter of discussion as why the TCC had been displaced arose during the final meeting.
Only five of the 13 member schools were present at the first meeting, and among those that attended the second general session the president and advisor, vice – president school and TCC parliamentarian.
The five members at the first meeting voted to replace TCC. Those schools attending the next meeting, decided that TCC had not received notice of the meeting until after it was held. President, Tony DeMars, questioned the reinstatement and it was assured by the Regional Junior College President, Jerry Collins, that a similar problem would not arise in the future.
The main item of business, was the matter of deciding the means of possible “walk-out.” Members are to go back to their campuses and inform all school officials that they have been notified that the region of Texas would have agree to be at T.C.C. next Saturday, December 8.
