Texas Beats Arkansas 20-12 In Bulldog Bowl

The Texas Bullhorns brought their Bulldog Bowl record to 3-0 last week as they defeated the Arkansas Bullogs 20-12 behind the Language Arts Building.

Bullhorn Bill Johnson broke lose for a touchdown early in the game to give Texas a 6-0 lead.

Texas failed to score on a two-point conversion, and a touchdown pass from Arkansas’s Quarterback Vic Loomis to Glenn Goodson tied the score 6-6. Billy Hurt scored the second Texas touchdown on a long run and the Bullhorns attempt at a conversion was successful. Loomis then scored on a run from scrimmage but the Bulldogs failed in their conversion attempt and Texas led 14-12.

The final score of the game was made by Texas’ Randel Rogers and the Bullhorns intercepted an Arkansas pass in the closing minutes to stop Arkansas scoring threat and win the game 20-12.
