The Tee Cee’s Organization Discontinued

The Tee Cee’s, an on-campus service organization that was organized at Texarkana College in 1954, has been disbanded, according to club co-sponsor Bob Bell.

“For about the last three years,” Bell said, “The Tee Cee’s have been struggling with very few members. When a class at TCC gets no participation, it is usually taken out of the college catalog. We decided it would be best if the Tee Cee’s were discontinued.”

The Tee Cee’s organization was an active part of the college curriculum, according to club co-sponsor J.E. Spencer.

During the years of 1961-63, the organization raised funds to purchase the TCC sign that now stands at the corner of Robinson Road and Tucker Street.

Also, in the past, the Tee Cee’s hosted a Cancer Walk then in Texarkana, ushered for several civic events in the Texarkana area, and participated in many events that were beneficial to the college,” said Bell.
