And what about the all exclusive BLACK LOUNGE?
I am under the impression that a lot of white folk don’t cotton to hangin’ ’round them loud mouff darkies what sits up there, groovin’ to dem sounds on de box. Peoples is gonna say dat the white folk are treatin’ de blacks like tokens, I mean givin’ them the run of de place and all.
It also appears to me that the people who asked for the return of the card tables and juke box aren’t taking advantage of what was asked for. I hear a great number of students cry “There’s nothing to do here!” Granted there’s probably not much to do, but what about the games of Spades and the secret gambling that went on up there last spring semester?
I don’t think it’s right that one ethnic group should be, shall we say, SHUNNED, and that’s exactly what’s being done, and consequently, the ROMPER ROOM isn’t being properly used. You people who asked for and don’t use what you got are missing out. When are you people going to wise up and get your stuff straight? The blacks don’t mind you using their tables and chairs.
Why don’t you all out there in the hall ways and on campus lawns go up stairs and sit around and get off the streets and out of view so’s that the campus will look deserted and more people enroll next semester and then there’ll be so many people that maybe next semester it will be necessary to make a play room big enough for EVERYBODY.
