Dear Editor:
Although I am sure the student senate is trying to do a good job, it seems that they have failed. If they are broke, it is probably because of mismanagement of money allotted for their use. They should have known that most people couldn’t get to a concert on a weekday. It’s a little late to worry about it now, though. Maybe next year they can do a better job.
Asking a student what he wants for college entertainment could help them. But if the senators don’t show up for meetings and carry out their responsibilities, how can you blame students for lack of interest?
By the way, isn’t it about time you removed “formerly the KENNEL” from the material under TC Campus News. It’s completely irrelevant. It’s like saying “United States of America (formerly Loyal British Colonies).”

Dear Editor,
I would like to express my feelings concerning a condition that everyone on campus is well aware of but just doesn’t know quite what to do. That is, the outrageous prices that the students are charged for books in the book store on the Texarkana Community College campus.
I’ve had a brain storm! I propose that all students gather up their books and have a mass rummage sale. We could sell our old books to incoming students for 75 percent of what we paid for them. The new students would save and we would get some of our money back. We could stage this mass rummage sale during the days of registration.
