The Young Republicans club of Texarkana College is supporting a petition drawn up by the College Republican National Committee.
The petition reads as follows: “We, the undersigned, support President Nixon’s genuine efforts to end the war in Vietnam and to achieve a lasting peace. We call upon the North Vietnamese to respond favorably to the president’s efforts to de-escalate the conflict.”
The petition is addressed to the “Ambassador of North Vietnam and has been signed by approximately 200 persons on the TC campus.
