Take time to stroll by the corner of Tucker Street and Robinson Road. Stop and observe the pretty brick sign with the letters “TEXARKANA COLLE—E”. Disheartening, isn’t it?
Twice the Tee Cee Club has replaced various letters that have been removed from the sign. The Tee Cee Club is to be commended for attempting to beautify and identify Texarkana College by assuming the responsibility of building and maintaining this sign. However, because of the childish pranks of an unknown few, the spirit of the entire project has been dampened.
Who could blame the Tee Cee’s for becoming discouraged? They have spent time and money trying to be of service to TC and TC students. That means you.
Surely college students are not guilty. We believe that the culprits must be younger people. Innocent pranks are fun, but stealing letters from a sign should not provide a great thrill.
Perhaps if the Tee Cee’s or some other club will replace the missing “g” of “college”, Texarkana’s infants will be satisfied to play with the letters they already have.
