Texarkana College will field a baseball team for the first time in nine years this spring when the college will compete in the Texas Eastern Athletic Conference.
Other members of the TEAC are Grayson County, Panola, Paris, and Tyler junior colleges. Each team will play 16 conference games with all conference games being doubleheader affairs.
In addition to the conference games, Coach Frank Taylor plans to schedule practice games with Ouachita Baptist College, Southern State College, and East Texas Baptist College.
All players interested in trying out for the team should attend a meeting with Coach Taylor at 9:30 on Jan. 9 in the gymnasium.
