Bulldogettes Drop Road Game

The Ouachita Baptist College girl Cagers edged out the Texarkana College Bulldogettes 48-46 in the final seconds of the game, Monday.

Coach Grace Frederic said the Texarkana team was tense and played a weak defensive game.

Lou Hulsey was high scorer with 20 points. Norma Renfro meshed 8, Beth Runyan tallied 6, and Martha Jones made 2.

Thursday night the Wayland College Flying Queens clobbered the Bulldogettes 67-24. Lou Hulsey dropped in 11 points to lead the Texarkana Club, followed by Jo Ann O’Rear with nine.

Parts of the game with Wayland were filmed to be televised on “Texas in Review” Monday, December 17, at 7:00 p.m.

The Texarkana College girls brought their season record to 0-3 in a game with Clarington Friday night. Clarington led all the way to win 66-32. Lou Hulsey was again high scorer with 14 points; Norma Renfro followed with 13.

Lou Hulsey is leading scorer for the Bulldogettes with 45 points in 3 games. The girls will be idle until January 12 when they go on the hardwoods against Weatherford in the Tiger gym.
