Dr. J. W. Cady, president of Texarkana College, addressed the Texarkana Rotary Club in mid-November, concerning problems in the field of education.
Dr. Cady said that education is lagging behind modern technology, and he added that this matter should concern the average citizen as well as the educator. He also mentioned the dropout problem.
He emphasized the fact that people have to make up their minds to pay for better education, for it will not improve significantly until such a time.
He also said that more opportunity should be provided for the gifted students of today.
