Comedy Staged By The 103 Workshop

by Ann McClendon

The 103 Workshop present a play, “Hail the Hunkering Hero,” November 28-29.

The play was a four-act comedy featuring the life of Clifford Schnorkel, a country yokel, and his college life at Gillette Tech. The role of Clifford Schnorkle was played by Chuck Winchell.

During the intermission the audience was entertained with the selection of the Gillette Tech Homecoming Queen. The petite Miss Marilyn Monday was chosen as Wednesday night’s queen, and Hazel Haak was chosen Thursday night’s.

The success of this play was largely due to the co-operation of the workshop members.

Carolyn Bob Loe and John Wade did an excellent job of portraying Ma and Pa Schnorkel, as did everyone else participating in the play.

After each performance the Workshop members held a dance in the Snack Bar.
