Five students and one faculty member were among the 40-voice Community Choir which sang Handel’s “Messiah” Dec. 3 to usher in the Christmas season in the Texarkana area.
Directed by Mr. Murry Alewine, chairman of the Fine Arts Department, the choir included soprano Jo Ann Hutcheson, altos Peggy Choate and Caroline Craw, tenor Bruce Douglas, and basses Melvin Hawkins and Phil Westfall.
Mrs. Henry Jackson, assistant professor of music, sang soprano.
