Slides of her recent tour of seven European countries were shown by Arkansas High’s French teacher, Mrs. Gertrude Hodde, at the December meeting of Le Cercle Francais.
Scenes from France, England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Holland and Sweden were included.
“Dinner is not served until about 8 p.m. and often lasts two or three hours,” Mrs. Hodde noted in her comments on European customs.
Bonnie Cate and Sarah Carson served the members sandwiches, cupcakes and punch from an elaborately decorated Christmas tree.
The group met in the Meeting Room of Security Savings and Loan.
