Getting Educated . . . Dishonestly

Some students come to college to get educated—some get educated by devious means.

Just recently an assignment for English 131 which required reading in the library resulted in torn pages and pilfered articles from Saturday Review, School and Society, Scientific American and other periodicals containing articles on the assigned topic.

A thief by any other name is still a thief. Those who are guilty of taking library materials and rationalize their behavior as “being pressured for time” are, in reality, inconsiderate, selfish and dishonest.

That Texarkana College has a few who would use these invidious tactics is a blemish to the reputation of the entire student body.
