“’Tis the season to be jolly . . .” And, that is exactly what most of TC’s students will be at the close of classes today. For today’s end brings the start of a long awaited fifteen day vacation from books, tests, and teachers.
Most people have reserved these holiday days for writing letters to Santa Claus, sleeping late, partying, exchanging gifts, eating and working. For some, these days will include a trip out of the dorm—and home.
Unfortunately a cloud comes over the Christmas tree when students think of those dreaded final exams January 20-24. Students will then register for the Spring Semester on January 27-28-29. January 30 will mark the beginning of Spring Semester classes. And, after looking into the future, perhaps some time will be spent on research papers, book reports, and finals. But, who knows?
Unfortunately, all students are expected to return to these “sacred halls” on January 2, giving them only one day to recover from the New Year’s Eve parties. Ooh!
