Ten students were initiated into the Phi Theta Kappa scholastic honor society at a banquet Tuesday night in the Student Center.
New members include Diana L. Burt, Helen Jane Cook, Kathy Davis, Barbara A. Desellum, Lindolyn Edwards, Emily L. Frantz, Julia A. Goff, Patricia A. Messimer, Linda P. Moffatt and John W. Soatkemp.
A picnic, weather permitting, in Mena, Ark., is in store tomorrow for all members and sponsors Mr. James Bennett and Mrs. Betty Carter.
Paul Nourse, sophomore from Texarkana, the organization’s treasurer, attended the October state convention held in Odessa. Member colleges made plans for the national Phi Theta Convention during to be held in April at San Jacinto College in Pasadena.
