In T.C. Players’ Our Town: Emily Seeks Answer On Meaning of Life

“Do people realize life while they live every, every minute of it?”

Emily Webb’s searching question is posed to the Stage Manager and the cast of “Our Town” and may well stir the audience to thinking about life’s meaning as the T.C. Players present Thornton Wilder’s play for Texarkana viewers.

Curtain time for the first night performance is 7:30 p.m., Nov. 30 in the Texarkana College auditorium.

The show will be presented again on Friday night, Dec. 1.

Tickets are 50 cents for TC students with ID cards; $1.00 for others.

Leroy Ruth, Texarkana, will play the part of the Stage Manager.

Annie Reed, sophomore from Texarkana, Tex., plays the role of Emily Webb; and freshman Haley Clark, Hooks, is portraying George Gibbs.

Also cast in major roles are John Merrian, Dr. Gibbs; Carol Trigg, Mrs. Gibbs; Barbara Rich as Mrs. Webb; and Mickey Rachel as Mr. Webb.

Other members of the cast include Larry Hague, Jerry Brooks, Susan Arnold, Bill Parker, Helen Van Hooser, Jerry Durand, Kathleen Wilson, Bobby Marks, June Durand, Perry Yates, Arlene Graham and Jess Johnson.

Advance ticket sales begin next week at a booth in the Student Center.

Director Mrs. Mildred Parsons, the cast and crews will have spent 125 hours rehearsing.
