KAT IN THE KENNEL

by Nelda Smith

Hi, gang! If you were disappointed because we didn’t have this column last time, please accept my apologies. I just couldn’t find any news. However, things have been happening since the last paper. It seems that play practice caused sparks to flame. John Woodall and Ann McClendon, Lajuana Stipp and Chuck Winchell, Farrell Barnett and Walter Winchell, Tony Madino and Carole Ferguson have been seeing each other a lot since then.

We all hate to see our steady couples break up, such as Evelyn Mirrior and Benny Johnson, Ray Ryan and Virginia Wilburn, Wayne Murray and Jan Johnson. But that’s life!

An old steady couple around T.C. is Bobby Hood and Truman Arnold. Do you two ever disagree? We’d like to congratulate Dale Works, Posse, and Cueball on their honor roll attendance in English class.

Bobby Bledsoe and Paul Stewart asked me to mention them in this column and to add the fact they are looking for girls.

Congratulations Dottie Anderson. That’s a beautiful ring. Gayle May is also planning to be married soon. We wish both of you all the happiness in the world.

Attention: All you boys looking for dates, we hear some of the candidates for Miss Texarkana College do not have dates for the Presentation Ball. Why not find out who these girls are and ask them for a date? You may have the honor of escorting Miss Texarkana College to the ball.
