The music and drama departments of Texarkana College will present “Oklahoma” in April, departmental spokesmen have announced.
This Rodgers and Hammerstein musical enjoyed a record-breaking run on Broadway several years ago. Murry Alewine, chairman of the music division at the college, pointed out that to be eligible for the production a student must, during the second semester, be enrolled in either the band, the choir, or in a drama class.
Students who are interested in participating in the production may obtain additional information by contacting either Alewine, Mrs. Mildred Parsons, head of the drama department, or Barry Johnson, band director, at the College.
