PERSONAL SATISFACTION GAINED IN PURSUING MUSICAL STUDY

Students with an interest in developing their musical talent should be aware of the courses offered by the Music Department of Texarkana College.

Private instruction in voice, piano, organ, woodwinds, brass, and percussion is available to all students, regardless of their background. Those now enrolled in these courses often have major fields such as speech, business administration, nursing, and education.

The Texarkana College Band, Choir, and Vocal Ensemble include young persons who will in the future become accountants, speech therapists, and even engineers. Yet they find personal satisfaction in pursuing musical study. Memberships in these organizations offer an opportunity for community service as well.

Music appreciation and humanities offer interesting study to the individual who desires to broaden his knowledge of the total arts areas.
